Purple

Had a fun Purple' theme a few weeks ago. On this plate is Serrano ham Carpaccio with greens and Purple Cabbage.

Open the fridge.....

Son Tighe is really a fan of my cooking. He really doesn't care what I make for him. He eats everything. This morning he asked me to make him a sweet breakfast. I said, you mean instead of sour? Now, I have to add, that last September, I texted all 5 boys to ask them what their favorite comfort food was. Answers: 'what's comfort food?'- 'Anything you make me for breakfast Mom'- the latter one came from Tighe. So, I opened my refrigerator and I saw onions, cheeses, oranges, raspberries, potatoes and eggs. So I had enough to make him breakfast. That's a fun game to play but at the time, the idea isn't so much fun.

Took Kyle to airport early this morning. He and his brothers and Dad liked last night's dinner- they all clapped!
I made apple cheddar bread pudding ( for their starch) and roasted vegetables with cilantro and flat leaf parsley, and boneless pork loin roast with ground fennel, coriander and molasses. Then, threw in another starch for those who could take it- baked potato.

Christmas foods

My favorite foods this holiday were Linda's creamed spinach and my cranberry rangoons. Yum!

Jingle, Jangle

Nice to hear that sound! Last Saturday before the Big Holiday- ugh and where to start. And it's snowing/sleeting.
